Acts 6:1-7

Many consider that this passage records the ordination of the first deacons in the Christian church. Just as Ephesians 4 tells us how the King Jesus gives gifts to build up his church, so Acts 6 shows us how Christ serves his church through the office of deacon. Therefore, let’s make our way through this story today to see how God serves his people through deacons.
