The story of Jesus's birth and this song by the angels goes against our expectations. It goes against how we expect God to act and it goes against what we and the world think we need. This sermon shows how this event is real history and not myth. It teaches that God comes to us, instead of us trying to find our way to God. It shows how God came to ordinary people, not the rich and powerful, with good news - that a savior is born and that God has brought peace and joy to those on whom His favor rests.
