John 14:15-27

This whole passage is about the Spirit Jesus promises to send who will live with you and me. And this promised Holy Spirit will transform us into the new creations that fulfill God’s purposes for his world. Things got off track when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, and we can see within us and around us the infection that continues to plague God’s creation. How will God heal that brokenness so that humanity can once again fulfill God’s purposes for his creation? By sending his Spirit to make us new creations. So, let’s look at this passage which teaches that God gives us an Advocate to make us a new creation.
