You believe the Bible, and the Christian faith, but you still recognize areas in your life where you do not believe, or you struggle to believe. You find yourself crying out to the Lord, “Lord I believe, but I don’t understand this, or I can’t seem to change this, or I don’t understand why I do this.”

The passage we’re looking at today addresses these kinds of conflict. It’s a challenging passage that confronts us with areas of unbelief, but it also gives us the tools to grow from an imperfect faith, perhaps even a lack of faith, to a more steadfast trust in Jesus, the Son of God. Let’s look at it through the lens of this simple prayer, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
