If You Want Your Life to Work Well, You Need the Reign of Jesus the King
Isaiah 11:1-9
In Isaiah 11:1–9, we encounter another passage that describes the ideal ruler. Judah needed a better king and government, and God keeps offering one to them, with both near-term encouragements and long-term, ideal fulfillments. One unique angle of today’s passage is the way it describes the results of the king’s reign in terms of a harmonious creation. For that reason, we can listen to this passage today that assures us that if you want your life to work well, you need the reign of Jesus the king.
