This section of Isaiah begins a transition in the book. The earlier chapters focus on God calling his people to account and God calling the nations to account. In the upcoming chapters, salvation and the coming savior begin to come into focus.

In chapter 29 we see God address his people about their faithlessness. He describes judgment for their faithlessness and salvation for those that depend on the Lord.
