The conclusion of Revelation is tied to the introduction (1:1–3): Rev is a communication from God, John is a witness to Revelation, and it is a prophecy communicated to the hearers. The conclusion is longer and picks up other themes from Revelation; it also stresses judgment as opposed to blessing (1:3). However, the conclusion still emphasizes the trustworthiness of the message and the importance of rightly responding to it. The conclusion consists of a series of five exhortations to holiness.
