The affection that Paul displays for this congregation should be imitated by pastors and elders who spiritually lead a congregation. And the Christian virtues that Paul highlights among the Thessalonians should certainly be manifest in any congregation. Therefore, this passage shows us that elders should display true love for their congregation, and Christians should display true faith in God.
