Psalm 50:1-23

God summons his people to gather before him so that he can evaluate them on their loyalty to his covenant. This inspection reveals who is and isn’t a genuine member of the covenant people. There are people who may look like they are members of the church, but they do not possess the internal reality and the appropriate actions that characterize genuine members of God’s covenant community. Therefore, it will benefit us to ask, What is God looking for when he inspects his church? To put it another way, When God comes to church, what happens? Let’s look at Ps 50 together and discover three actions that take place when God comes to church.
