When the church faces such troubles, where should Christians focus their attention? How do you respond to trouble, whether it is trouble that others brings to you (some sort of harassment or mistreatment), or whether it is trouble arising within the church because of the decisions or actions of others. What do you do when you are troubled wondering what the future holds, wondering whether God’s future for you is good or bad? Those are the questions Paul answers in this letter, and he begins doing so right here in this first chapter. Where do you focus your faith when troubled?
