The question we are asking ourselves is, How did Mark end his Gospel, and why did he end it the way he did? And we’ll answer those questions in two ways: first, by looking at the story Mark told, and, second, by looking at it’s significance. The story and the significance tell us why Mark ended his Gospel the way he did.
