Hebrews 9:6-14

Today’s passage, like the two we have previously considered from Hebrews, contrasts the worship of the old tabernacle system with Christ, the great high priest. But not only does it contrast the old with the better way, but it explains the purpose of the old way and what message God was communicating through that old way. And the purpose, the message, and the contrast all focus on how the finished work of Christ cleanses our consciences so that we can serve the living God. Therefore, let’s use this passage to answer the question, What do we trust for peace of conscience?
