Genesis 16:1-16

Abraham and Sarah had a promise from God, but they also had a clock in their head, and it was ticking. Years past and trust gave way to impatience. What followed wasn’t rebellion, but it was impatience masquerading as obedience. This story shows us what happens when waiting just feels absolutely unbearable, when waiting and trusting God’s timing feels way too slow.
